     The standard retaining rings developed by OMTOOLS are used to connect optical elements with threaded mounts, lens tubes and adapters. The standard retaining rings are machined from 6061-T6 anodized aluminium alloy, delivering the maximum clear aperture and enough clamping force. Each retaining ring is designed with two notches that are compatible with wrenches of different sizes. Two retaining rings are required to secure optical elements in lens tubes, with one for fixation and the other for locking.
