Plano-concave cylindrical lenses consist of a flat surface on one side and a cylindrical surface on the other side, featuring a negative focal length. Unlike spherical lenses, cylindrical lenses only act on beams in one direction. Cylindrical lenses are commonly used for beam shaping. Typical applications include collimating bicylindrical lenses and circularizing laser diode output beams. To reduce spherical aberration, the beam should be incident to the lens’s curved surface when a plano-concave cylindrical lens is used to diverge a collimating beam into light spots. OMTOOLS offers uncoated plano-concave cylindrical lenses and three kinds of AR coating lenses (350-650 nm, 650-1,050 nm, and 1,050-1,580 nm) to meet various commercial and scientific applications.
