The snap-in brackets for guides can be secured on the side of the 95 mm guides by tightening M6 locking screws. Loosen the locking screws, push out the clamp with the help of the opening mechanism, and leave enough clearance for the dovetail grooves on the 95 mm guide to enable the brackets to be inserted or disassembled along the guide side. In addition, brackets can slide along the guide and re-positioned in other positions by slightly loosening locking screws when the bracket clamp is on the guide. Each guide bracket is designed with a M6 threaded hole grid to connect with optomechanical elements. The OMDP66A guide mounting plates can be used to lower the bracket profile, if required.

The rail mounting plates developed by OMTOOLS are arranged with 17 M6 threaded holes and four M6 counter bores, forming a tight grid. The mounting plates can be secured on the 95 mm rails through tightening four M6 cap screws on the four corners. These locking screws are fitted with two T-nuts on the two ends of the mounting plates. The mounting plates can move smoothly along the grooves. The OMDP66A mounting plates can only be inserted or disassembled at the end of rails. For mounting plates that can be mounted at any position of the rails, see the OMDK-A series snap-in brackets for 95 mm rails.

OMTOOLS’ OMDK51C rail platform positioners and OMDK33C rail platform return positioners are designed to aid in fine adjustment of optical elements mounted on a 95 mm rail platform. The OMDK51C positioner consists of an M5x2.5 adjusting screw incorporated into the 95 mm rail clamp. The screw provides smaller, smoother movement than coarse adjustment by hand. The maximum travel range is 37.7 mm; longer adjusting screws can be installed if desired. The OMDK33C return positioner is comprised of two spring-loaded plungers integrated into the 95 mm rail clamp. The plunger can travel a maximum range of 7.2 mm, and the compression spring tension can also be adjusted with a 4.0 mm hexagon wrench. Both the OMDK51C positioner and the OMDK33C return positioner can be mounted on the side of a 95 mm rail with the help of the spring-assisted clamping mechanism. After loosening locking screws, the auxiliary opening mechanism will push out the articulated clamping arm, leaving enough clearance for the 95 mm rail’s dovetail groove. When used in conjunction, the two series of positioners can provide precision alignment in either direction on the rail’s axis. We do not recommend using the OMDK33C return positioners vertically.
OMTOOLS’ OMDP102C rail vertical mounting plates are designed to install the standard 95 mm rails in the direction orthogonal to the mounting surface, delivering a 3-axis rail structure. The included four M6 cap screws can secure the mounting plate in M6 threaded holes outside the end of rails. The 50.8 mm grooves are provided for more accurate positioning, and they are compatible with both imperial and metric optical tables. When used in conjunction with OMDK95B, the OMDP95C allows the user to reposition the component without removing the rail from the clamp, because OMDP95C is designed to allow free operation and mounting of screws. Both OMDP95C mounting plates and OMDK95B rail clamps are equipped with Ø3 alignment holes to ensure orthogonality with locating pins (not included).
OMTOOLS’ clamps install 95 mm rails horizontally on optical tables or base rails. The M6 cap screws in the four counter bores can be used to install the clamp on a breadboard. Place the clamp at a desired position, insert the 95 mm rail into the rail, and tighten cap screws on the clamp side to secure the rail. It is important to note that mounting holes and grooves cannot be operated when the rail is in the clamp. The clamp can also be mounted at the end of the 95 mm rail using M6 threaded holes on the rail. In this direction, the clamp can also secure another 95 mm rail at a right angle. When the clamp is mounted at the end of a 95 mm precision construction rail, a set of Ø3.0 mm locating pin holes can be used to align to the clamp on the rail (locating pins not provided). This series of clamps is compatible with OMDP95C mounting plates, delivering more flexible mounting onto breadboards.

The OMDL95A five-way corner cube secures rails end to end or at right angles. The five mounting faces of the cube contain a Ø71.9 mm centered clear aperture that leaves the entire rail interior unobstructed. Each face also has four through holes that are positioned to align with the four M6 threaded through holes on the end of a standard 95 mm rail. The cube is machined from a single block of aluminium to ensure the perpendicularity and parallelism of the five mounting surfaces. Please note that the caps of standard M6 screws will interfere with each other when installed in neighboring faces of the cube, preventing the rails from being fastened down. We therefore recommend the use of low-profile channel screws that feature a shortened cap height.

The OMDM95A pivot support offers ±90° of variable rotation. It is an ideal choice to construct large-scale, non-rectangular structures. Once the connected rails have been set to the desired angle, tighten the side-mounted M12 bolt and nut combination to lock the connected structure in place. Each side of the pivot joint contains four through holes at the corners. They are positioned to fasten the pivot joint to the OMDP102C vertical mounting plate or the M6 threads on the end of a standard 95 mm rail. The combination of the pivot support and rail carriage allows two 95 mm rails to be mounted at an arbitrary angle starting anywhere along the base rail.

OMTOOLS’ OMDN95A horizontal leveling feet are designed with four M6 countersunk through holes that are positioned to attach the leveling feet to the four M6 cap screws on the end of the standard 95 mm rails. The vertical adjustment range of the horizontal leveling foot is 30 mm. Once the leveling foot is set to a desired height, further adjustment can be prevented by tightening the locking screw. The durable stainless steel swivel pad provides stable contact with the surface the foot is resting on, even if the surface is angled. Four M6 cap screws and a 5 mm hexagon wrench are included.

OMTOOLS’ OMDN95B and OMDN150B vertical leveling feet are designed with four M6 countersunk through holes that are positioned to attach the leveling feet to the four M6 cap screws on the end of the standard 95 mm rails. Each leveling foot is designed with a Ø71.9 mm centered clear aperture. The vertical adjustment range of the leveling foot is 30 mm. Once the leveling foot is set to a desired height, further adjustment can be prevented by tightening the locking screw. The durable stainless steel swivel pad provides stable contact with the surface the foot is resting on, even if the surface is angled. To prevent wobbling instabilities, we recommend to support the rail with three points of contact against the mounting surface. For example, the users can mount a single rail parallel to the surface, or choose one OMDN95B single foot and one OMDN150B dual foot.
