     OMGH05A single-mode optic fiber couplers of OMTOOLS provide efficient single-mode coupling of a laser beam into a bare single-mode optic fiber. Submicron positioning resolution required for efficient single-mode coupling is also offered. Fine translation and focusing required to position focused laser beams on the optic fiber end face are offered by the three-axis positioner used to fix the optic fiber chuck, which has M5X0.25 adjusting screws for smooth XY adjustment and M16X0.75 knurled knob for the axial motion on the Z-axis. The submicron resolution required to optimize coupling into a single-mode optic fiber is equipped by the dynamic tilt stages that use M5X0.25 adjusting screws to rotate lenses/optic fiber holders. Unlike traditional couplers in which positioner jitter may exceed optic fiber misalignment tolerance range, slight tilt adjustment only introduces a second-order translation of beams. The nominal optical axis height of the coupler is 76 mm, and the base is designed with threaded holes and through holes, which facilitate its connection with the tables and breadboards of OMTOOLS.

OMGH05A single-mode optic fiber couplers
  • The fine translation and focus required to position a focused laser beam onto the end face of an optical fiber is provided by a three-axis positioner holding the fixed fiber chuck - featuring M5X0.25 adjustment screws for smooth XY regulation and an knurled knob with M16X0.75 thread for Z-axis axial movement;

  • The sub-micron resolution necessary for optimization of coupling into single-mode fibers is provided by a dynamic tilt stage that rotates the lens/fiber bracket assembly using M5X0.25 adjustment screws;

  • Unlike traditional couplers where the positional jitter may exceed the misalignment tolerance range of fibers, the fine tilt adjustment only introduces second-order translation of the beam;

  • The optical axis height of the coupler is fixed at a nominal 76mm, and they have threaded holes and through holes on the base, making it convenient to install on OMTOOLS platforms and breadboards.

Compared with OMGH05A, this coupler is added with a mounting base of rotary chuck used to control the direction of polarization-maintaining fibers.
